Golden Ten Data reported on June 24 that Kit Juckes of Société Générale said in a report that the decline of the euro against the US dollar may at least slow down. With expectations of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike rising recently, and bets on the European Central Bank's tightening policy decreasing, the euro fell to 1.1324, a one-year low against the dollar. Juckes stated that the euro has already broken below the 1.14 to 1.20 range where it had stayed for most of the past year. This could limit the euro's further downside potential. Expectations for the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank have already been adjusted, and we need new economic data to drive the next stage of movement.
