According to Golden Ten Data on June 27, Swiss energy company Axpo announced on the 26th local time that the Beznau nuclear power plant in northern Switzerland has suspended operations due to excessively high river temperatures caused by hot weather, which prevent effective cooling of the nuclear reactor. This nuclear plant is the oldest operational nuclear power plant in Europe.
