Siemens Energy announced on June 30 that, together with Neptun Smulders Offshore Renewables (NSORe), it has recently won a contract awarded by German transmission system operator 50Hertz to provide grid access systems for the North Sea Connector 2 offshore wind grid integration project in the European North Sea. After the project is commissioned, it will be able to deliver up to 2GW of offshore wind power to the mainland.
