Nandy stated that she "inclines to intervene" in the deal, citing public interest considerations and the need to ensure "sufficient diversity" of views in the news media, as well as to prevent excessive concentration of voices in the international news sector. If she decides to intervene, the UK's media regulator and antitrust regulator will submit a report to Nandy on the transaction's impact on competition, and Paramount must respond by July 6.
