SoftBank plans to launch AI cloud services in the US to capture surging demand

This new cloud joint venture plans to provide data center capacity of around 10 gigawatts by 2030, designated for large-scale AI model training and inference. SoftBank's new cloud business may have OpenAI as a ready-made customer, as the parent company has already committed to invest approximately $65 billion in OpenAI by October. (Bloomberg)
