XRP Rockets over 5% to Hit $1.10 as 2 Huge Wins Restore Institutional Faith
The price of XRP (XRP-USD) surged 5% today to trade at $1.1050, snapping a recent slump and giving buyers a big reason to celebrate. This quick run-up happened because a mix of big regulatory updates and a network expansion pushed new capital back into the token. First, a finalized settlement agreement between Ripple and the SEC heavily cut down civil liabilities and cleared away years of legal friction.

On top of that, Ripple scored a crypto-asset service provider license in Luxembourg, which lets them build regulated payment and stablecoin rails across 30 European nations.
These twin victories restored major trust among institutional players, which sparked a massive wave of spot ETF buying.On-chain Data Reveals Underlying XRP Warning Signs
Even though XRP’s price looks incredibly strong right now, the foundation underneath this 5% price pop is showing early signs of cracking.
While everyday buyers are chasing the green candle, the most dedicated, long-term investors are doing the exact opposite. On-chain data shows that long-term holder buying suddenly sank by 11% in a single day, dropping down to 213.6 million XRP. When conviction buyers pull back their money by double digits during a price pump, it often means they expect a stall or a reversal ahead.
Furthermore, trading volume and momentum indicators are still lagging behind, meaning fewer actual buyers are backing this push higher.
Shrinking Leverage Protects XRP against a Huge Crash
Despite those underlying warnings, futures traders have built a strong safety net that should prevent any sudden, violent collapse for XRP.
The total value of active futures bets dropped 11.5% recently, sliding down to roughly $766 million. Because so many traders already closed out their positions and walked away, there is very little risky leverage left to fuel a massive sell-off. Funding rates are also leaning negative, which means the market is acting highly cautious instead of piling into dangerous, overcrowded long bets.
This cleared-out leverage means that if the price does take a turn for the worse, the resulting pullback will likely be a shallow slide rather than a steep, cascading crash.
At the time of writing, XRP’s price is sitting at $1.1050.
