Today, Kioxia announced it has begun shipping samples of its 1TB triple-level cell storage device utilizing its 10th-generation BiCS FLASH 3D flash memory technology.
Kioxia Holdings Corporation (formerly Toshiba’s storage division) and SanDisk have been jointly developing BiCS FLASH 3D NAND technology for a long time. Since the prototype’s release in 2007, it has iterated to the 10th generation, focusing on increasing vertically stacked layers, optimizing bit density, and balancing energy efficiency to meet the explosive demand for high-capacity, high-performance storage in AI, data centers, and enterprise SSDs.
