The French crypto platform Bull Bitcoin has filed a lawsuit with France’s supreme administrative court, the Conseil d’État, requesting the annulment of Decree No. 2025‑1276, which localizes the EU DAC8 crypto tax information exchange directive. This decree requires all EU crypto service providers to report user identity information, residence, transaction details, and transfer data to self-custody addresses annually starting from 2026, and to automatically exchange this information among tax authorities in the 27 member states.
