Institution: As investors increase allocations to fixed income assets, demand for bonds rises
According to Golden Ten Data on July 9, Hermes Investment Management analyst Gallo stated that after several years of solid performance in the stock market, demand for bonds has increased in 2026 as investors shift funds to fixed income assets. Strong US corporate earnings and resilient economic growth have boosted demand for US corporate bonds. In the second quarter of 2026, demand for US municipal bonds was also very strong, leading to a decline in municipal bond yields, while US Treasury yields rose.

A survey by Citigroup shows that among 350 family offices across more than 40 countries, inflation has replaced trade wars and tariffs as their biggest concern, followed by interest rates and the stability of the global financial system. More than 90% of family offices surveyed reported positive returns this year, and nearly half said they increased their holdings of publicly listed stocks in the first half of the year. Meanwhile, Citigroup’s head of wealth management noted that gold now features in almost every client conversation he has.
