US Stock Market Closing: Capital Flows Back to "AI Narrative" as Chip Stocks Lead, Boosting Nasdaq by 1.3%

格隆汇 July 10|Despite renewed military conflict between the United States and Iran, a U.S. official stated that the country remains committed to seeking solutions on the Iran issue, and related technical negotiations are ongoing. The market focus has shifted from geopolitical tensions to the upcoming earnings season. All three major U.S. stock indexes closed higher on Thursday, with the Dow rising 0.27%, the Nasdaq up 1.3%, and the S&P 500 index gaining 0.81%.Most large technology stocks rose, with Meta up more than 4%, Broadcom and Tesla climbing over 3%, SpaceX increasing by more than 2%, and Amazon up over 1%.Micron announced it will invest more than $250 billion in the United States to build new production capacity, and SK Hynix’s U.S. listing received subscription orders more than seven times the available shares, both boosting the entire AI industry chain. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index jumped over 3% in a single day, with SanDisk up more than 7%, Western Digital rising over 5%, Micron Technology gaining over 4%, and Seagate Technology up more than 3%.The oil and gas sector declined, with Exxon Mobil falling more than 2%, Chevron and BP both down over 1%. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index closed up 0.55%, with iQIYI soaring over 8%.
