Anthropic investors expect IPO valuation to exceed $2 trillion, with the highest estimates reaching $3 trillion.
Odaily reports that some current investors of Anthropic expect the company’s valuation could exceed 2 trillion USD as early as its IPO this October. Six interviewed investors believe that rapidly growing demand for Claude and rising company revenues may drive Anthropic’s valuation to double from the 965 billion USD recorded in May this year.
In May, Anthropic disclosed that its annualized revenue had surpassed 47 billion USD, and some investors predict this may reach 100 to 120 billion USD by the end of the year. One investor, using an approximate 30x revenue multiple, estimates that Anthropic’s valuation could reach as high as 3 trillion USD.
However, these valuations are all investor predictions. Several investors stated that Anthropic’s management has not yet determined IPO valuation targets. Competition from low-priced AI models in China, relations with the US government, and enterprise control over AI expenditure are all still considered potential risks. (FT)
