Veteran Investor Calls for “Massive Repricing” of XRP
Ripple’s balance sheet now holds $50 billion worth of XRP. According to crypto commentator Digital Asset Investor, the token’s price still hasn’t caught up to that valuation. He laid out this gap in a video posted to X, explaining that XRP trades far below what its underlying value suggests.
Digital Asset Investor opened his video by stating plainly that Ripple is on $50 billion in XRP holdings. He said the asset “is still trading like it’s 2018.” He highlighted a comment from BankXRP pointing to Ripple’s institutional ties and banking-sector partnerships as evidence that XRP serves a different purpose than typical retail cryptocurrencies.
He stated the market hasn’t caught up to this reality yet. “The market hasn’t priced in the gap yet,” he said. He predicted that once it does, XRP will reach a price point that catches most investors off guard. “Nobody is ready for this all-time high,” he said.
A Case for Accumulation
Digital Asset Investor described his own strategy as a wager on that future repricing. He said he plans to keep buying XRP regardless of short-term price swings.
He tied this approach to his experience across previous market cycles. He said he has lived through “pretty much all the bears and bulls in crypto,” and framed his current position as a product of that history rather than a short-term bet.
Timing Based on Past Cycles
Digital Asset Investor explained why he believes conviction matters most when sentiment turns negative. He said major moves in crypto tend to happen when confidence is lowest.
He used the Clarity Act’s stalled progress as an example, citing a scenario where the bill fails to pass. “That’s when it happens,” he said, describing the pattern he has observed in past cycles. He concluded his remarks by stating that these turning points rarely align with market expectations.
A Bet on Institutional Value
Digital Asset Investor’s insight rests on the difference between Ripple’s corporate XRP holdings and the token’s current market price. He treats the $50 billion figure as a signal that institutional backing hasn’t translated into retail price action.
His comments don’t include a timeline or specific price target. Instead, he positions his accumulation strategy as preparation for a shift he expects to happen without warning.
His remarks add to a broader pattern of XRP commentary tying the asset’s long-term value to Ripple’s institutional standing rather than short-term trading activity. Whether that repricing materializes remains unconfirmed, and Digital Asset Investor offered no data beyond his own market observations to support the $50 billion comparison.
