ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Wins EU Approval for Rett Syndrome's Drug

04:03 AM EDT, 08/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- ACADIA Pharmaceuticals (ACAD) said Monday the European Commission granted marketing authorization for its drug, Daybu, to treat neurobehavioral symptoms of Rett syndrome in adults and children aged 5 and older. The company said Daybu is the first and only treatment approved for Rett syndrome in the European Union. The authorization was primarily based on phase 3 study that showed statistically significant improvements in key Rett syndrome symptoms, the company said. Acadia said it will now begin pricing and reimbursement discussions with national authorities.
