Gilead Sciences' Trodelvy Gains EU Approval for Breast Cancer

07:03 AM EDT, 08/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Gilead Sciences (GILD) said Monday that the European Commission approved Trodelvy plus Keytruda for first-line treatment of PD-L1-positive metastatic triple-negative breast cancer. The approval, based on phase 3 data, showed Trodelvy plus Keytruda reduced the risk of disease progression or death by 35% versus standard chemotherapy plus Keytruda. The approval, along with Trodelvy's recent EU authorization as a monotherapy, establishes the drug as a first-line treatment option for metastatic TNBC across PD-L1 status, the company said.
