Insmed's Lung Disease Drug Gets Approved in Japan

07:54 AM EDT, 08/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Insmed (INSM) said Monday Japan approved its drug, Brinsupri, to treat non-cystic fibrosis bronchiectasis in adults and children aged 12 and older. The company said the approval was based on a phase 3 study that showed the drug reduced lung-related flare-ups and delayed the time to the first flare-up compared with placebo. It also helped preserve lung function and was generally well tolerated, it added. Insmed said Brinsupri is now approved in the US, Europe and Japan.
