Monte Rosa Therapeutics Doses First Patient in Phase 2 Prostate Cancer Study

08:25 AM EDT, 08/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Monte Rosa Therapeutics (GLUE) said Monday that the first patient has been dosed in MODeFIRe-1, a phase 2 study evaluating MRT-2359 with apalutamide in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer and androgen receptor mutations. The study will enroll up to 25 patients who previously received a second-generation androgen receptor inhibitor, it said. MRT-2359 will be administered orally at a 0.5 mg dose for 21 days followed by seven days off in 28-day cycles, it added. The trial follows encouraging phase 1/2 data for MRT-2359 in combination with enzalutamide, in which five of five patients with AR mutations achieved PSA responses, with a 100% disease control rate and two RECIST responses. Monte Rosa said it expects to update data from the earlier study by year-end.
