Azenta Names Board Member Martin Madaus as Interim CEO

08:50 AM EDT, 08/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Azenta (AZTA) said Monday that board member Martin Madaus has been named interim president and chief executive officer following the resignatin of John Marotta as an executive officer and a director. Madaus joined Azenta's board in 2024 and is a senior operating executive at Carlyle Group (CG), the company said. The company also reaffirmed its fiscal Q4 total organic revenue guidance. Earlier this month, Azenta said Q4 revenue is expected to decline in the low single digits compared with a year earlier. Analysts polled by FactSet expect Q4 revenue of $160.3 million. Shares of the company were down 5.1% in Monday's premarket activity.
