Weatherford International, NCS Multistage Set Merger Election Deadline

05:50 PM EDT, 08/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Weatherford International (WFRD) and NCS Multistage (NCSM) said late Monday that the expected deadline for NCS stockholders to choose the form of merger consideration is Aug. 31. Under the deal, NCS stockholders can choose to receive 0.554 Weatherford common shares, or a combination of 0.239 Weatherford shares and a cash amount equal to 0.137 Weatherford shares, according to the companies. NCS stockholders who fail to make a valid election before the deadline will be deemed to have elected to receive the share consideration, according to a statement. Weatherford's acquisition of NCS Multistage is expected to close on Sept. 1, the companies said.
