Halliburton Wins BP Contract for Bumerangue Field Appraisal in Brazil

08:25 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Halliburton (HAL) won a contract from BP (BP) to support appraisal work at the Bumerangue field offshore Brazil, the company said on Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed. The oil services company said the work will include drilling and reservoir evaluation as BP assesses its oil discovery in the deepwater Santos Basin. Halliburton said it will provide multiple services under the contract and use its Logix system during the drilling program. Shares of Halliburton were down 1.6% pre-bell.
