08:50 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Teledyne Technologies (TDY) said Tuesday that its Teledyne FLIR OEM unit was chosen for a US Army program to advance next-generation uncooled thermal sensors. The project focuses on boosting sensor performance while lowering size, weight, power usage, and costs, the company said. The effort will prioritize scaling the technology for mass production to support future military applications like unscrewed aerial systems and weapon sights, Teledyne said. The value of the award was not disclosed.
