Donaldson logged higher earnings and sales in its fiscal fourth quarter and guided for continued growth in the year ahead.

The filtration products and solutions company on Wednesday posted net earnings of $129.3 million, or $1.10 a share, for its three months ended July 31, compared with $114.3 million, or 97 cents a share, a year earlier.

Stripping out one-time items, earnings were $1.15 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected adjusted earnings of $1.13 a share.

Net sales climbed 8% to $1.06 billion, just ahead of Wall Street models for $1.04 billion.

Chief Executive Rich Lewis said quarterly earnings and sales reached all-time highs, supported by organic volume growth, a recent acquisition and execution across all three business segments.

Sales across Donaldson's mobile solutions segment rose 7.9%, while sales across the company's industrial solutions segment were up 7.7%. Its life sciences segment notched a 9.7% jump in sales.

"We enter fiscal 2027 focused on capitalizing on increasing demand in several of our key, higher-margin businesses, further improving our operating efficiency and thoughtfully investing for future profitable growth," Lewis said.

Looking ahead, Donaldson guided for adjusted earnings of $4.22 to $4.38 a share, compared with analyst views for $4.39 a share. Sales are projected to increase between 5.5% and 9.5%. Analysts are looking for sales of $4.14 billion, marking a 6.5% gain from last year.

Shares ticked up 1.9%, to $95, in premarket trading.
