09:34 AM EDT, 08/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Walmart (WMT) said Thursday it launched Scenario fashion brand for women, offering bohemian items mostly priced under $25. The retail giant said the 280-piece collection includes apparel, shoes, jewelry, handbags, and accessories. The launch follows research that found nearly 20% of women ranked "boho" among their top style preferences, with the findings backed by trend forecasting and merchant insights, Walmart said. The company said it has launched or relaunched 15 fashion private brands over the past five years, which account for more than half of its fashion sales. Shares of Walmart were down more than 1% in early Thursday trading.

According to data from the US Department of the Treasury, in the 12 months ending July this year, overseas investors made net purchases of US stocks totaling $942 billion, marking the highest rolling 12-month total since records began in 1985. The net purchases in the second quarter alone reached $426 billion, setting a new single-quarter record. Meanwhile, overseas demand for US Treasuries has noticeably cooled, with purchase volumes falling significantly. As a result, the US is facing higher costs in government debt financing.
