Adicet Bio Gets FDA Clearance for IND for ADI-212 in prostate cancer

05:00 PM EDT, 08/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Adicet Bio Inc (ACET) said on Thursday that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has cleared its Investigational New Drug application for ADI-212, an allogeneic gamma delta CAR T therapy, engineered immune cells designed to attack cancer, for patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, mCRPC, an advanced form of prostate cancer that no longer responds to hormone therapy. The company said it plans to begin Phase 1 enrollment in the fourth quarter of 2026. Adicet said ADI-212 is designed as a single off-the-shelf product with gene-editing and immune-stimulating features to improve tumor targeting, durability of tumor-killing, and modulation of the tumor microenvironment, the surrounding cells and signals that help cancer grow.
