Circle Signs Official Jersey Sponsorship Agreement with Chelsea, Featuring USDC Branding
On August 28, stablecoin issuer Circle announced a sponsorship agreement with Premier League giant Chelsea, becoming its chief partner and official jersey (front) sponsor. The agreement was announced on Friday, and starting from the 2026/27 season, Circle and USDC branding will appear on the jerseys of Chelsea's men's, women's, and youth teams. USDC operates under the framework of the GENIUS Act, which was signed into law last year by President Donald Trump. Tether's USDT primarily operates globally outside this framework, while also launching a smaller USAT stablecoin specifically targeting the U.S. market.
