10x Genomics Announces $4.8 Million Award in Patent Case Against Qiagen Unit

03:27 PM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- 10x Genomics (TXG) said a Delaware federal jury awarded the company more than $4.8 million after finding that three patents held through its Scale Biosciences unit were infringed by Parse Biosciences, a subsidiary of Qiagen (QGEN). The jury also rejected Parse's challenges to the patents' validity, confirming all three as valid and enforceable, 10x said Friday in a statement. The damages reflect a 14% royalty on sales of Parse's Evercode Whole Transcriptome products from 2021 through mid-2026, 10x said. 10x plans to pursue additional remedies in post-trial proceedings, including enhanced damages, attorneys' fees and a permanent injunction against further infringement by Parse in the US. Qiagen didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires. 10x shares fell 5.4% in Friday trading, and Qiagen dropped 1.3%. Price: 61.33, Change: -3.52, Percent Change: -5.43
