Cybersecurity Industry Seen Moving Toward Consolidated Platform Offerings -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/08/28 19:281528 ET - The days of fragmented cybersecurity offerings are over, as increased cyber threats from AI push enterprises to consolidate their spending, Jefferies analyst Joseph Gallo says in an interview. "It's very clear that we're moving to a world of platforms. Everybody is trying to consolidate and save money where they can, but they also want better security outcomes," he says. "It's for sure a theme that's been happening for a few years. And we would expect that to continue in the future." The consolidation push drove a strong performance for CrowdStrike in the second quarter, Gallo says, and bodes well for Palo Alto Networks, which has made "platformization" a cornerstone of its strategy.
