IDEAYA Biosciences Plans Phase 3 Trial for Lung Cancer Therapy

06:30 AM EDT, 08/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- IDEAYA Biosciences (IDYA) said Monday it held a US Food and Drug Administration meeting on the design of a phase 3 trial for IDE849, its experimental treatment for extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. The company said the global trial is expected to enroll about 400 patients who previously received tarlatamab. IDEAYA said it plans to start the study by year-end 2026. The trial will compare IDE849 with standard treatments, using overall response rate and overall survival as key measures, the company said, adding that IDE849 is also being studied with AstraZeneca's (AZN) Imfinzi and its IDE161 for potential first-line treatment.
