Arch Biopartners Receives Review Board Approval Ahead of Phase 2 LSALT Trial Expansion

12:01 PM EDT, 08/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Arch Biopartners (ARCH.V) has received central Institutional Review Board (IRB) for the Phase 2 LSALT peptide trial, the company said on Monday. The trial targets cardiac surgery-associated acute kidney injury (CS-AKI) and the study is expanding into the US. The central IRB approval is key for activating the sites there, Arch said. The company is also adding one more Canadian site to the Phase 2 trial. "The US expansion is an important part of our development strategy for LSALT peptide and the CS-AKI program," said Chief Executive Officer Richard Muruve. "For Arch, it is also a strategic step toward establishing a stronger global presence as we advance our clinical-stage kidney programs." It is expected that the US clinical sites will require four to six months of preparation before dosing their first patient.
