Warner Bros. Discovery To Launch HBO Max On Prime Video, Hulu In Japan In October

Discovery (WBD) said Monday it will launch HBO Max on Prime Video and Hulu in Japan on Oct. 1, expanding distribution of its streaming service through the two platforms. HBO Max will be available as a dedicated hub on both services. Hulu Japan subscribers will receive the Standard Tier at no additional charge, while Prime Video customers can access Standard or Premium Tier subscriptions as an add-on. The launch will include HBO and Max Originals, Warner Bros. films and television series, and DC content, with the new HBO Original Harry Potter series scheduled to debut at Christmas.
