Inflection Point Acquisition Closes $287.5 Million IPO

05:55 PM EDT, 08/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Inflection Point Acquisition VIII (IPHXU) has closed its initial public offering of roughly 28.8 million units, including 3.75 million units issued pursuant to the underwriters' full exercise of their overallotment option at $10 per unit, resulting in gross proceeds of $287.5 million, the company said late Monday. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share and one-third of one redeemable warrant, the company said. The units are listed on the Nasdaq Global Market and started trading under the symbol "IPHXU" on Aug. 28, the company added. Once the securities comprising the units begin trading separately, the Class A ordinary shares and warrants are expected to be listed on Nasdaq under the symbols "IPHX" and "IPHXW," respectively. The company said it also concurrently closed a private placement of 8 million warrants at a price of $1 per warrant, resulting in gross proceeds of $8 million.
