Ameresco Breaks Ground on Nebraska Renewable Natural Gas Facility

05:55 PM EDT, 08/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ameresco (AMRC) said on Monday that its Neogenyx Fuels subsidiary held a groundbreaking on Aug. 26 for a renewable natural gas facility at the Adams Land & Cattle feedlot in Broken Bow, Nebraska. The facility will use eight anaerobic digesters to convert feedlot manure into biogas, generating more than 4,400 SCFM, with an expected output of approximately 1.2 million MMBtu of pipeline-quality RNG annually, the company said. Ameresco said the project is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by about 63,700 metric tons annually and will produce livestock bedding and agricultural fertilizer as byproducts.
