Vodafone's German Fiber Optic Joint Venture Draws Societe Generale as Partner

04:28 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Vodafone (VOD) said French bank Societe Generale has agreed to acquire a 50% shareholding in its OXG fiber optic joint venture in Germany from Geodesia. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal will provide OXG with a committed funding partner and support the continued expansion of its fiber network in Germany, while preserving Vodafone's strategic flexibility, the company said. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions, the company said.
