Draganfly Says FAA Granted Section 44807 Exemption for Its Heavy Lift Drone Platform

09:27 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Draganfly (DPRO) said Tuesday that the US Federal Aviation Administration has granted a Section 44807 Special Authority for Certain Unmanned Aircraft Systems exemption for its Heavy Lift drone platform. The approval permits Draganfly and authorized commercial operators to operate the platform at maximum takeoff weights exceeding the standard 55-pound limitation, according to the company. Shares of the company were down 4.4% in Tuesday premarket activity.
