10:02 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Great Atlantic Resources (GR.V) has created a new wholly owned subsidiary focused on the company's tungsten assets. Great Atlantic established Atlantic Canada Tungsten Mining as the company seeks to expand its presence in the tungsten space amid growing interest in the critical mineral, Great Atlantic said Tuesday. The company intends over time to transfer its tungsten assets into the new subsidiary, including the South Quarry Tungsten Property in Newfoundland and property claims in New Brunswick. "Tungsten has emerged as a clear priority critical metal for Canada, the U.S. and our allies, and the recent policy and funding momentum behind critical minerals has made that crystal clear," CEO Christopher Anderson said. "With regional tungsten projects advancing around us, we are setting the stage today so that Great Atlantic is ready to move quickly should the right opportunity present itself tomorrow." The restructuring is considered an internal corporate reorganization and no action is required by shareholders, Great Atlantic said.
