30-Year Treasurys Are Close to Pre-Intervention Levels -- WSJ

The 30-year Treasury yield rose as high as 5.286% this morning, its highest level since Aug. 18.
That peak last month was what prompted Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to intervene in the bond market the following day. The move pushed yields, which had stood at 5.265% right before the announcement, lower.
But the effects of that intervention proved short-lived, with the 30-year yield climbing back up to just under 5.26% in recent trading.
