JPMorgan upgrades Meta to overweight rating, optimistic about its AI strategy

Meta was upgraded to Overweight by JPMorgan on Thursday, marking the latest sign of improving market sentiment towards the Facebook parent company's artificial intelligence initiative. The upgrade from Neutral comes as Meta has just launched Muse—an AI agent designed to perform tasks on behalf of users. Analyst Doug Anmuth wrote that Meta's Muse AI agent has seen strong early momentum, rising to third place in the U.S. app store on its second day after launch, with early usage levels ten times the size of the training queue. He believes this demonstrates Meta's ability to deliver consumer-driven AI products to its approximately 4 billion user base, noting that such large-scale distribution is a significant competitive advantage.
