Apollo Silver Reaffirms Support For Ejido Benito Juarez's Water Resources in Mexico

01:32 PM EDT, 09/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Apollo Silver (APGO.V), down 5% on last look, on Monday reaffirmed its willingness to address the water challenges that concern the Ejido Benito Juarez community in Chihuahua, Mexico. Apollo reiterated in a statement its commitment to "working with the Ejido over the long term on practical solutions to those challenges, beginning with independent technical work on the aquifer, the springs and the existing wells." The Ejido community is expected to meet on Sept. 20 to vote on lifting the moratorium on mineral exploration and development affecting communal lands, which include the Cinco de Mayo project, under option by the company, an earlier statement noted. "Water is the first question at Ejido Benito Juarez, and it should be," said Tom Peregoodoff, executive chair of Apollo Silver. "The wells and springs of Ejido Benito Juarez have sustained families and their farmland for generations.
