ExxonMobil executive says Middle East LNG supply disruption will be short-term

An ExxonMobil executive said on Tuesday that disruptions to liquefied natural gas supplies in the Middle East will be short-term. Historically, the region has a long track record of providing reliable and additional supply during times of crisis. Andrew Barry, Chairman of LNG Market Development at ExxonMobil, stated at an industry event in Bangkok: “We believe the current situation is essentially short-term... Ultimately, it comes back to the importance of the Middle East in the long-term landscape, and from our perspective, that has not changed.”
