Critical Metals Projects Up to $2.2 Billion Annual Revenue From Proposed Romanian Refinery

09:38 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Critical Metals (CRML) said Wednesday a study for its proposed processing plant in Romania projects $1.8 billion to $2.2 billion in annual revenue before operating costs, taxes and capital recovery. The facility, which is expected to receive 50% of concentrate output from the Tanbreez project in Greenland, is being designed to process up to 100,000 tons of eudialyte concentrate feed per year and produce nearly 28,000 tons per year of rare earth products, the company said. The plant requires an estimated $1.85 billion in capital construction costs, Critical Metals said. The company also said it projects around $400 million to $600 million in yearly sales from the silicate recovery system. Shares of the company were up 3.3% in early Wednesday trading.
