Choice Properties REIT to Issue CA$300 million of Series Y Senior Unsecured Debentures

10:11 AM EDT, 09/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CHP-UN.TO) agreed to issue, on a private placement basis in certain provinces of Canada, CA$300 million of its series Y senior unsecured debentures, it said in a statement late Tuesday. The debentures will bear interest at a rate of 4.836% per annum and will mature on Sept. 22, 2033. Closing of the offering is expected on Sept. 22, 2026, subject to some conditions, it said. Proceeds, together with other available funds, will be used to repay upon maturity its outstanding CA$350 million of 2.456% series Q senior unsecured debentures due Nov. 30, 2026, it added. Shares of the company were last seen up 0.2% at CA$14.93 on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Price: 14.94, Change: +0.04, Percent Change: +0.27
