US and Vietnamese companies are expected to announce a series of agreements in energy, technology, aviation and finance next week as Vietnamese leader To Lam visits New York, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing officials and two documents. The report said the planned agreements are part of Vietnam's efforts to ease trade tensions with the US as the Trump administration threatens new tariffs on the country's exports. An internal planning document lists 29 potential agreements for a Sept. 23 business conference attended by To Lam, Reuters said.
