Boeing Secures Lufthansa Order for 20 Additional 737 MAX Aircraft

12:57 PM EDT, 09/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing (BA) received an expanded commitment from Lufthansa Group after the airline's supervisory board approved exercising options for 20 737 MAX 10 aircraft valued at $3.4 billion, Lufthansa said Thursday in a statement. The plane manufacturer originally provided the purchase options alongside a 2023 agreement for 40 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which gave Lufthansa rights to acquire up to 60 additional MAX family jets.
