Petrobras Enters 8 Offshore Exploration Blocks in Cote D'Ivoire

07:15 AM EDT, 09/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Petrobras' (PBR) unit Petrobras Netherlands signed production sharing contracts for eight offshore exploration blocks in Cote d'Ivoire, the company said Thursday. The company said it will hold a 90% interest in the blocks and serve as operator, while PETROCI Holding will hold the remaining 10% interest. The agreements expand Petrobras' exploration portfolio in the African equatorial margin and support its strategy to replenish oil and gas reserves through new exploration frontiers, it added.
