AbbVie, Iambic Sign Multiyear Drug Discovery Deal

08:47 AM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AbbVie (ABBV) and Iambic entered a multiyear collaboration to discover and develop small-molecule treatments in immunology, neuroscience and oncology, the companies said Monday. The companies said they will use Iambic's artificial intelligence platform, Enchant v3, to identify potential drug candidates more efficiently. The model, which combines different types of biomedical data and can test multiple drug-design ideas at the same time, was trained on more than 6,000 molecular properties, the companies said. Iambic will receive an upfront payment and is eligible for milestone payments and tiered royalties on net sales of products developed under the collaboration, the companies added.
