AMC Entertainment Repurchases Debt, Issues New Debt Notes

09:14 AM EDT, 09/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AMC Entertainment (AMC) is offering to repurchase all $360 million worth of its outstanding 7.500% senior secured notes due 2029 for $1,009.70 for every $1,000 worth of principal, the company said Monday. The tender offer will expire on Sept. 30. The company has also begun an offering of $2 billion worth of first lien notes due 2031 and launched syndication of a new $850 million first lien term loan facility, the company separately said. In addition, AMC committed to a new second lien term loan facility worth $1.12 billion, it said. The net proceeds from the offering, along with the new term loan facilities and cash, will be used to repurchase the 7.500% notes and to fund other debt buybacks and pay down other debt, the company said. Shares of the company were up 3% in recent premarket activity.
