Qualcomm (QCOM.US) launches Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip: TSMC 2nm process, targeting Apple A20 Pro with focus on "on-device intelligent agents"

Smartkarma Finance APP reports that Qualcomm (QCOM.US) has released its latest chipset for Android phones, optimized for on-device artificial intelligence, and set to compete with the A20 Pro in Apple (AAPL.US) iPhones. According to a press release from Qualcomm on Tuesday, the new chip, branded as “Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6,” will be manufactured using TSMC’s 2-nanometer process and will be adopted by flagship smartphones from companies such as Motorola, Xiaomi, and ZTE. Qualcomm is launching two versions this time, one of which comes with additional capabilities and is branded as “Extreme.”
