On September 23, the 8th China-OPEC High-Level Dialogue was successfully held in Beijing. Wang Hongzhi, Director of the National Energy Administration, and Haitham Al Ghais, Secretary General of OPEC, jointly chaired the meeting. Both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on topics including the global energy market, energy transition, and deepening bilateral cooperation, reaching broad consensus. Wang Hongzhi stated that China has always regarded OPEC as an important force and key partner in the global energy governance system, and is willing to continue working with OPEC to deepen policy coordination in the oil and gas sector, strengthen cooperation and exchanges on energy transition, jointly participate in the reform of global energy governance, and jointly safeguard the long-term healthy and stable development of the global energy market.
