03:28 PM EDT, 09/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were softer in late Thursday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) each down 0.1%. The Philadelphia Housing Index decreased 0.5%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) eased 0.1%. Bitcoin (BTC-USD) rose 0.2% to $84,600, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries climbed 6.5 basis points to 5.18%. In corporate news, Goldman Sachs (GS) has earned over $200 million in fees this year from lending to AI hedge fund Situational Awareness, the Financial Times reported. The report, citing people familiar with the matter, said it was the most of any client in Goldman's prime brokerage business financing hedge funds. Goldman shares were down 1.6%.
