According to Intercontinental Exchange data, the near-month Dutch wholesale natural gas price fell by 5.07%, closing at €71.30 per megawatt-hour.
The near-month UK wholesale natural gas price declined by 5.17%, closing at 177.86 pence per kilocalorie.
The simultaneous decline in prices in both regions reflects a short-term easing of supply concerns, which may be related to a reversal of geopolitical risk premiums and changes in demand expectations.
Going forward, attention should be paid to the impact of European inventory levels, weather factors, and the geopolitical situation on natural gas prices.
