KBR Technology Selected for Ammonia Plant in Saudi Arabia

06:41 AM EDT, 09/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- KBR (KBR) said Monday that SABIC Agri-Nutrients chose its technology for a new ammonia plant in Saudi Arabia. The agreement includes technology licensing, engineering design, equipment, and catalyst supply for a facility with a daily capacity of 3,500 metric tons, the company said. The company will collaborate with contractor Samsung E&A on the project, which is designed to produce 1.2 million metric tons of ammonia annually, it said. The development is expected to expand the partner's annual urea production capacity from 4.8 million to 7.4 million metric tons, KBR said.
